This fine brewery is from Austria, but is actually Slovenian. Vasja Golar is educated in the electronics industry, but discovered craft beer on a trip to Belgium. He set out brewing in his home garage and soon discovered this could be a way of making a living. He was ready to do so in 2013, but due to Slovenian laws and rules he fount out it made more sense to start up just across the border, in Austria. Most employees are still Slovenian, their native territory being their biggest market. Vasja and his crew are creative, uncompromising and thorough when creating beer, often inspired by british traditions, but not foreign to experiments with fruit, berries, herbs and vegetables.
